About Me

Hello beautiful and welcome to my blog! If you can’t already tell, I adore makeup and beauty products. It is my ultimate hobby (no, I am not anywhere near being a professional) but I love it just the same. I collect, hunt, haul, review and swatch all in the name of beauty.

I’m based in the greater Chicago area and by day I work in the financial industry. By night and weekend I am an amateur cook (chef is too talented for me), travel enthusiast and gym/fitness junkie. I have many loves in my life (my wonderful fiance and family and friends of course) but makeup and beauty reign supreme as one of my favorite hobbies.

I invite you to enter the guilt-free, judgment-free zone! Sit back, enjoy yourself. I encourage comments, suggestions and ideas. I hope to see you back here soon!

    re: sunday riley blush “intimate”

    hi danielle,
just wondered if i could get more input re: sunday riley’s intimate. for some reason, on the barney’s website, this blush looked far more candy pink, but on your blog, it looks peachy-pink to coral. which statement would be true? and, if it does lean peachy-pink, does it look anything like say, nars “o”? i already own sr’s blushing & honest. i initially thought honest was the nars o of the group until i saw intimate. thanks in advance for your help!

      Hi Cindy!
Sure, I would say it’s along the same lines as NARS Orgasm, although I don’t own that particular shade. It doesn’t have the same pronounced gold sheen of Orgasm, but it is definitely a peachy-pink, bordering on coral. It’s sheen is softer and more glowy where NARS O is more shimmery (at least that’s the way it looks when I swatch it). I hope this helps!

        danielle,

thanks so much for your advice! the blush looks beautiful on you! i hope it works even a quarter as well one me! b/c of your lovely swatch/modeling of this blush, i called my local bny & put it on hold. the only problem i have with these blushes is that certain shades (presumably the shimmery ones) crumble a lot (ex: color, “honest”) at the slightest touch of a blush brush. but for paraben free & nice color pay off, i’m willing to try one more of these blushes. anyways, thank you again & i am glad i stumbled upon your blog. keep up the great work! all of you lovely mu bloggers are doing such a great service! i know. i should wish for world peace! but hey, it’s the simple little things like blush that makes my everyday life happy! :) take care!
