You may remember a few weeks ago that I posted about one of the 6 new shades to come out with Giorgio Armani’s mid-summer collection- the very gorgeous Eyes to Kill Intense #28. Well, fast forward a month and I have steadily added to the number that I hauled from this collection; 5 of the 6 shades in total. I know, but I simply cannot resist these. The final color that doesn’t particularly interest me is a light pink, #29. You can find these on the Nordstrom website here and they retail for $32/each. I believe I am at close to 20 of the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill shadows at this point- a true testament to how much I
enjoy love am obsessed with them.
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense #24 Smokey Copper
(P.S.- If you haven’t seen it, do check out the look Temptalia did with this shade. It’s stunning and what I am currently wearing today)
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense #25- Rusted Gold
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense #26- Carat Gold
(a surprise hit with me- I *adore* this shade, one of my favorites in my collection)
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense #27- Oxidised Silver
I initially wasn’t planning to get this because in some swatches it looked a little too pink/red. But it ends up looking more like a purple-y taupe on me as it did on the other bloggers who convinced me I needed this *shakes angry fist*
Of course it wouldn’t be a good welcome back post if I didn’t do some swatch comparisons!
Clockwise from left (all are Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill): #27, #4, #6, #15, #25, #24, #26 and center is #14.
Swatches L-R (all are Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill): #4, #27, #14, #26, #15, #24, #6, #25
You can see that #4 is much more grey/silver than #27. #14 is a much cooler gold than #26 and #15. #15 is more copper/bronze than #26 and if worn sheerly, #26 makes a beautiful gold. #24 is darker and more dimensional than #6 and #25 is more green and cool toned than both of them.
In all I am extremely happy with the purchases I made from this collection. The shades live up to my expectations in terms of color payoff, wear time and that sparkle factor. If you have never purchased one of these before you are in for a real treat when you do. I haven’t tried a single one that’s made me regret purchasing it. I would start with a shade you feel you will get a lot of use out of (for me that’s been #9- a beautiful peach-champagne color perfect for throwing all over the lid), but of the new shades I don’t know if I could pick just one. I believe thus far my most used is #26, but I think that’s more seasonal related than it is anything else.
Have you tried these before? Is it insane that I wouldn’t mind owning every single shade? >.< I think I might need to do an overall collection post/my favorites soon!
