My love for a particular brand–Sonia Kashuk, carried exclusively at Target–is well documented. A simple search of my blog will yield many results covering her products. On my frequent trips to the beauty aisles of Target (one might even say I haunt those walkways) I have ogled and subsequently purchased many an item. From brushes to blushes, Sonia Kashuk never fails to impress me.

Speaking of impressed, have you seen some of the fabulous new items out this spring?

Clockwise from left: Illuminating Bronzer, Eye Quad in Fair and Square, Satin Luxe Lip Color in Pink Punch

One thing that really gets me about Sonia Kashuk’s products is the packaging. It’s a drugstore brand presented like a department store one. The magnetic clasps thrill me to no end, and the sleek, clean lines of the packaging further excite me.

One of the stand-outs of her entire range are her eyeshadow quads (of which I have personally purchased seven). Fair and Square is no exception.

The mix of satin neutrals with high-powered shimmers makes the product undeniably versatile. Two of the shades are beyond creamy (the taupe brown and peachy/pink). The pink shade is drier and more powdery, and not my favorite texture of the group. The final shade is actually a cream–a full-on shimmer in the best possible way.

I find all the shades blend easily and work well together. The thing I love about the way Sonia Kashuk does shimmer shades is that they aren’t gritty like glitter, and they glide on smoothly. One thing to keep in mind when working with these types of shades is to apply your eye makeup first, so you can wipe away any possible fallout. The high-shimmer shadow gives you the freedom to apply a bit to your eyes to take your look from day to night without all the mess.

Need further proof? Take a peek at the looks I did with this palette (and the items featured above):

Day: Using the peach shade all over the lids, blended out with the pink and a tiny bit of the taupe in the outer corner, my eyes have definition and are office-appropriate. I also lightly dabbed on some Pink Punch Satin Luxe Lip Color and swept the Illuminating Bronzer across my cheekbones, then finished off with Sonia Kashuk’s blush in Sunset.

Night: To add some drama and flare, I dabbed on a bit more of the lipstick, deepened my eyelid crease with the taupe shade of shadow, put some more taupe near my lash lines, and finally dotted a small amount of the creamy/shimmer shade to the center of my lids.

It’s as simple as that! The ease of use, exceptional packaging and high-quality line-up will keep me coming back for more and more. Sonia Kashuk items can be purchased at Target stores or on the Target website here.

*I was sent these items by Target for review purposes.* However, to be fair, I had already purchased the Fair and Square quad myself last year. πŸ˜‰

  1. Lovely look and those items look very nice!

Entering the contest: To take an eye look from day to night, I actually remove it all and start fresh! I don’t like adding makeup on to makeup.

  2. Maggie says:

The finishes in that palette actually remind me a bit of the way the Tom Ford palettes are done. I’ll have to scope out more SK stuff next time I’m in the US!

Day to night: the simplest thing I do is line my waterline with a black or dark brown pencil, and add some smokiness to the outer corner. Takes the look from clean and neutral to sultry with one product.

  3. You have such fantastic taste. I love that shimmery shade!

For my contest entry: To go from day to night I like to add a darker shadow to the outer corner and crease or some dramatic winged out liner. Or both if I’m feeling saucy. πŸ˜‰

  4. Julie Flores says:

To take my look from day –> night I tend to play up my eyes OR completely redo them all together. I don’t typically wear mascara during the day, so that is a must add for a night time look… and I smoke it out using my fav Naked 2 pallette! πŸ™‚

  5. Holly says:

Yay for Target! I love going to their makeup section as well! I would say to take my look from day to night, I rim my eyes with eyeshadow instead of eyeliner… it makes it look like there is more of a “cloud of color”.

  6. MelodyJ says:

I like mascara for day and add eyeliner for night.

  7. Melissa says:

Very pretty look, and I love your blog!

To take my look from day to night, I usually just freshen things up a bit. I add more blush and eyeshadow, then I add more liner, smoking it out a bit. I usually just wear lip balm during the day, so for the night I’ll be daring and add some pretty gloss. Thats it! πŸ˜‰

  8. Lisa Brown says:

To go from day to night: add a deeper shadow color to the crease, higher shimmer to lid, apply lashes, more mascara, touch up eye liner with black or deeper colored liner.

I like taking some dark brown of black eyeshadow and smudging it in my outer V, using a brighter or darker lipstick, and applying more blush and highlighter to make the look more dramatic

  14. Ashley H. says:

I add a darker shadow to get a smokey eye look.

  15. Edna Maldonado says:

I love to shop at target thanks for the giveaway!

Day to Night makeup: Usually I just go a little heavier on eyeliner and mascara, a littler darker on shadow but not too smokey .

I twitted bout the giveaway here:

    Good luck everyone!

    Edna Maldonado

  16. Alison says:

For me, going from day to night is all about adding glitter!

  17. Krystal says:

Those shadows look beautiful! I have yet to try SK makeup other than some lippies and a concealer.
I’m definitely entering this one! Let’s see, I usually keep a mini angle brush and a matte black eyeshadow in my purse so I can easily smoke out my eyes and add some darkness to my lash lines. I also keep a bright red/pink/fuchsia lipstick and gloss in my purse because my night makeup always includes a bright lip πŸ™‚

  18. During the day, I only line my upper lashline. But for night, there’s really nothing like lining all around your eyes with a black liner then smudging it out like crazy with a q-tip to get a sexy, smudgy, effortlessly cool lived-in eye.

PS: I LOVE Sonia Kashuk. I have most of her brushes and other items, but only one of her quads πŸ™ I am definitely running out to get this one though. The colors are AMAZING together and scream summer to me. Plus, it’ll work really well with my coloring

  19. courtney b says:

false lashes, a smoky eye and extra glitter pigment:)

  20. Kris says:

To go from day to night I usually add a dark e/s to the outer v, dramatic liner, falsies and a brighter or vampy lipstick.

  25. Calli says:

I’ll add some black eyeliner and a bit of shimmer is a must!

  26. Valerie C. says:

To go from day to night, I like to add a deep shade to the crease and highlight below the brow and inner corners.

  27. Dovey says:

Hi Danielle, These colors look wonderfully bronzey-peachy-awesome for the current season! To get from Day to Night, hmmm… I think it usually involves a slightly deeper shade in the crease, a reapplication of eyeliner and mascara if necessary, concealer, some shimmer…. and I think that’s it!

  28. grlnxdor says:

For day to night I add another couple coats of mascara and use a powder highlighter across the tops of my cheekbones.

    tjbladl at charter dot net

  29. Sarah says:

In the day I wear a very fine line of eyeliner on my top line, but nothing on my bottom. At night I thicken up the top, maybe add a cat eye, and add to my water and bottom lash line. Plus, I’ll use more dramatic colors.

    Great giveaway!

  30. Amy Tong says:

To transform my eye makeup to go from day to night, I usually add some glitter or shimmery color to my shadows. Or add a deeper/darker color above my eye liner.

  33. Judy B. says:

A little more dramatic color and some sparkle

  34. Larie says:

To go from day to night, I think it depends. If I shower first, I start fresh, which makes me feel better, anyway. But sometimes I’ll go straight from day to night, so usually I just emphasize things more strongly – darker crease color, more liner, maybe even mascara. And then I just freshen up existing color (if it’s faded) or add a glitter liner on top of my black.

  35. MerelyMarie says:

I don’t wear makeup much, but I love Sonia’s A powerful Punch nail colours!

  36. Tina M says:

    I use mascara and eyeliner

  37. I usually use natural makeup during the day(browns, golds)
but at night I like to add color – purple, pink, and heavy eyeliner!

  38. Vanessa says:

How do you like to take your eye look from day to night? I usually wear pretty neutral looks during the day, and when I go to work. But when I go out at night, I like to add a fun color lipstick, and a tad bit more eyeliner to my upper lash line. Definitely more mascara (as I am a mascara freak, hehe). Also, depending on my mood, I like to use Mulch from MAC to create a smokey-ish look! Gorgeous color πŸ™‚

For my entry: I’ll add a darker top liner, sometimes extending it to create a wing. I’ll also add a shadow from lash line to crease that has a lot of shimmer to it. Another coat of mascara…. And I’m set to jet! Thanks!

  61. Kelly says:

To take my look from day to night, I usually add a bit more eyeliner and a darker shadow in the crease to get a more smoky look! Keeping it simple!

  62. Molly says:

Usually if I wear make up during the day, it’s a as simple as mascara and lip gloss. If I go out at night I usually wash my face and put on concealer, eyeshadow and some blush in addition to the usual mascara and lip gloss.
If it’s winter, I sometimes add eyeshadow to go out at night. I’ll use a medium tone for the lid and something more sparkly next to the lashline. (I got the idea from watching Gossip Girl!)
