Did I mention I’m ravenously into eyeliner lately? Well, I am. Ever the explorer of brands I decided to test the waters on a brand I haven’t tried that much of…Laura Mercier.
I am pretty sure I have never heard of this liner before and I can’t understand why. It’s beautiful. It glides on smoothly and lasts all day. At $20 it isn’t the most affordable eyeliner ever, but neither is it the most expensive. For the color, the application and the lasting power I’d say the price suits the product just fine.
Black Gold, in daylight
An iridescent liner that is (much like shadow I reviewed the other day) a chameleon. Depending on the lighting it may look like one color or another, a quality I find to be most irresistible.
Is it Olive? Bronze? Dirty Gold? Or maybe, just a stunning combination of all three?
The other thing worth noting about this liner is the fact that it can be built up easily or worn sheer as a base. It can be smudged on the lash line, but will also set in a reasonable amount of time. Let it be a testament to it’s durability that it lasted through a few tears (sniff, sniff) last week.
Wearing Black Gold on upper and lower lash lines (Burberry Pale Barley, Midnight Brown and Porcelain for the shadows)
Black Gold FOTD
(Side note: That’s Cle de Peau Extra Silky lipstick on my lips in #127-most amazing glossy lipstick EVAH, but the price….ouch!)
I already love Laura Mercier’s oil-free Tinted Moisturizer and the amazing Rose Rendezvous highlighter, and let’s not forget Black Karat. I am also currently testing 2 deluxe samples of her famous Foundation Primer in original and radiance and so far I am impressed. What are favorites from the line? Now that I have tried a few things I feel like I definitely
want need to try more!
