Good evening! I wanted to share my NARS spring 2012 choices with you ladies ASAP in case you were holding off on ordering for more swatches and comparisons. I skipped the new blush (Gaiety) because it looks very similar to ones I already have. But none the less, I did pick up Lhasa, Paramaribo and Mexican Rose- all three of which looked too amazing to pass up.
NARS Lhasa Single
Nothing to say here…it’s taupe, so of course I love it! It is not the best formula of taupe I own, but it swatched smoothly and easily.
Swatches L-R: Le Metier de Beaute Corinthian, Burberry Rosewood, MAC Shale, NARS Lhasa, theBalm Come Hither Heather, Chanel Fauve
The closest is Shale, and even then it isn’t an exact dupe. Shale is darker and less silver/grey than Lhasa. But, if you are looking for the next best thing, Shale will get you close. The rest you can see aren’t really all that similar.
NARS Paramaribo Duo
Now both of these shades are amazing, both in texture and in shade. Look at those gold flecks in the left side of this duo! It is smooth and pigmented, one of the better NARS duos available.

Mexican Rose on lips
This has a very nice texture. It isn’t sticky, but nor is it as slippery as a sheer lipstick. I can see how this would be long wearing. And the shade!!!! I couldn’t quite capture it’s beauty here, as it is brighter than this. But expect a full FOTD soon, and watch out because you will ADORE this shade!

DAMN those taupe shadows!! the Balm Hither Heather looks beautiful! Is it in a palette or single?
Mine is actually in a palette- Shady Lady Volume 3. From my research it looks like a palette only shade right now. But check Marshalls and TJ Maxx. That’s where I got mine and I might have paid $16 for it…bargain!
That lip pencil is gorgeous! I was thinking about picking up Valparaiso, but I haven’t done it yet!
Ooh, I need to look at that one when it finally comes out in stores! In the pictures it looks very pretty as well!
