I broke my Best of 2011 products into 4 different posts, so I thought I would compile them all into one wrap-up post.
2011 was a big blush year for me. You can read about all of my favorites and see swatches here.
It was a year of trial and error, and try again for face products. You can see which ones ended up at the top here.
I fell in love with several different formulas this year. I used plenty of neutrals, but also added pops of color here and there. Check out my favorites and swatches here.
Lips & Nails
I really loved lipstick and lipgloss hybrids this year, in addition to bright bold hues. My nails were ever-changing but I managed to select a few that stood out from the rest, and you can see swatches here.
I can’t possibly name ALL of my favorite blogs this year. I loved so many I simply cannot choose. If you want to know what blogs I read regularly, check out my “Link Love” tab, it’s what I use to check out blogs daily instead of Google Friend Connect or other services. I want to say a special thank you to those girls who have named me as a favorite blog of theirs this year. I am honored and flattered!
I had some random favorites this year as well:
- New Release Movies: Sherlock Holmes 2 & Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
- TV Shows: I have an undying love for House, MD (though I am sure this is probably the last season) and Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. I also enjoy The First 48 (real-life homicide show) and Law & Order SVU to satisfy the inner detective in me. A few new shows came on that I wasn’t sure about at first but ending up enjoying was American Horror Story and Pan Am (it’s cheesy, but I have grown to love it). The boy also got me completely hooked on The Walking Dead. Amazing show!
- Music: I didn’t have a favorite song per say, but I really loved Nicki Minaj- Super Bass and Fly, as well as Beyonce- Love on Top, Adele -Rolling in the Deep, Sara Bareilles- King of Anything, Newton Faulkner- Gone in the Morning, Eddie Vedder- The Long Road and Cee-Lo- Forget You (not all of these were released this year, they are just the top played this year according to iTunes )
- Books: I did more Audiobooks then actual books this year, but I really enjoyed Eat, Pray, Love- Elizabeth Gilbert, Kitchen Confidential- Anthony Bourdain and Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook- Anthony Bourdain.
Thank you all for making 2011 so unbelievably awesome, and here is to all the wonderful things waiting for us in 2012! Cheers!
