For the better part of 1.5 years I have been eying up one nail polish that I have never been able to find in stores. It’s available pretty easily online, but I always wanted to see it in person to make sure it was something I really wanted, and that it didn’t look like something I already had. Finally, at a recent trip to Ulta, I was united at last with this long time lemming. United and yes, it feels so good.
I will freely admit that this polish isn’t BAM- POW, WOW. What the name and color impart on my tips is what makes this color something I will treasure. Mrs. O’Leary’s BBQ. First of all, it reminds me of something southern (U.S. that is). I have a huge passion for the south and southern living. My family didn’t always live in the cold north (although I always have). My roots belong to the south and I think that’s probably why I love so much about the culture and food from down there. And then there’s BBQ. My, how I love BBQ. Barbeque ribs, chicken and the sauce…I will push people out of the way for some of the home made stuff. On my tips this reminds me of a finger-lickin’ good time, of my childhood and southern hospitality. And yes, I think southern hospitality is alive and well and something you have to experience for yourself to know what I mean.
I am certain not everyone will have the same reaction I have when I look at this polish. But I can say for certain that I am happy I finally fulfilled my lemming for this and will happily wear it often. Although, now I am pretty hungry….

I swooned when I saw this. I’ve never seen it until now but I’m pretty sure I want it badly! =D Lemming in 3…2…1…
Ahh! Well, at least now you know where to pick up a bottle
Ahhh! So gorgeous! I have been in the mood for exactly that color, and I don’t own any. Thanks for adding to MY lemming list, Danielle
You are welcome Larie, for all the things you have made me add to MY list *cough* Dior Nocturne *cough*
I weird connections to polish names too. I have a real thing about California so anytime a polish has a Cali name I need it! That’s why I scooped up Essie California Coral and Soulstice Spa Monterey
Yay, so I’m not the only one who does that?! *high five*
*I* think it’s pretty BAM!
I’m far from a southern girl, but the shade’s gorgeous all the same. Lovely!
I’m with Rae.
Not only is it BAM, it’s BAYUM!
Oooh! I LOVE that!!!!
Thanks Rae! I guess what I should have said was “I think it’s BAM, but everyone might not” because I LOVE it. I guess it’s not as flashy as other polishes, but it’s pretty all the same!
That’s an awesome shade! This is exactly how I feel whenever I put on Essie Wicked. Kind of a basic but badass shade for every day.
And it’s one of my great travel dreams to do a Southern BBQ road trip. Just hit one BBQ after another, from town to town!
Omg, take me with yooouuuu!
OMG, can you imagine a beauty blogger BBQ tour?!?! AMAZING!!!
I am so seconding what Kayla and Rae said. Major want … starting now!!

Ahh, I didn’t realize how many ladies would like this shade! Yay!! It’s yum in a bottle!
Take notice, Inglot! I’ve been able to resist their purportedly amazing eyeshadows because the lack of names just doesn’t inspire my imagination at all. This is a nice, vampy red creme, but as soon as you call it BBQ it looks absolutely yummy, don’t you think?
Absolutely!!! I had such a hard time ordering from Inglot the first time because all of those numbers just freaked me out. It’s worth it in the end, but still. I get headaches when I browse their site. No bueno!!
