Tarte 8th World Wonder: 2nd Edition!

Hi ladies! I actually experience something pretty horrific this morning. I woke up gently without an alarm, laid still for awhile enjoying the Sunday b  l    i      s         s .   .   . oh wait, it’s MONDAY. Total buzz kill! But, never fear! I have decided to share with you a piece of joy to get you over the Monday blues, and yes, it’s from tarte. ;)

My 2nd piece of 8th World Wonder pie.

The only thing not pictured here is the mascara, which is actually very nice indeed. I have already reviewed the foundation before, and you can see that review here. I also love that they included a different bag this time. Which is convenient since I am still using the bag that came last time and this has made a nice change of pace.

I am glad they included a different brush too, but to be honest I wouldn’t have cared if they included another of those amazing foundation brushes which I have been using for months now. This brush is soft and works well with the clay blushes. I love the bamboo handle.

L-R: Tickled Blush, Pink Grapefruit gloss, Rich Green liner

It goes without saying that I love that blush and love the shade. You can see it swatched with all of the other shades of the clay blush that I own here. It looked more red when compared to the peachy-pink blushes but on it’s own it’s more of a watermelon pink and extremely flattering. The gloss shade isn’t anything special, but I do enjoy the formula, even if it’s a bit sticky. The liner is an absolute standout. I LOVE that shade. It works great with my brown eyes, but I envision it would be stunning on everyone. It lasts all day on me, no smudging.

2nd Eyeshadow palette

L-R: Matte Softest peach, Shimmering Olive, Shimmering Gold, Matte Espresso

First, a note of contention. I do not believe the name “Matte softest peach” is appropriate because, as you can see it is most certainly not matte. I didn’t name it, and it’s not a typo on my part. Regardless, this palette is stunning. Not just perfect for fall, but a great palette all year for me. The warmth of this palette immediately drew me in. I don’t have a favorite shade here because they are all equally and inseparably wonderful in formula and pigmentation.

Have any of you ordered a tarte set from QVC? Glow Your Way to Gorgeous is another great one, and guess who has a review coming about that one as well? :)
